The project will build on the state-of-the-art technology from national and European projects and in particular the EU AXO-SUIT project (www.axo-suit.eu), for the scale-up application. The upper-body exoskeleton developed at AAU will be streamlined to focus on the assistance of the elderly's movement, which could be challenging for tasks involving relatively high payload for them.
This objective will be achieved by combining expertise and competence of partners from research institutions, industry, and municipality working collaboratively with the end-users, the technology, and the development of the application.
PROJECT Technology
New technology will be developed in mechanics, sensing technology and human-exo interaction control.
End-user cases
A main end-user case will be developed for the elder wheel-chair users to assist them in body lifting with the help of exoskeleton joints.
